Karachi Metrobus / BRT Orange Line Project Started
Karachi (Wednesday, February 03, 2016) – Bus rapid Transit (BRT) project has been stared in Karachi metropolitan city. In his first phase. work on BRT orange Line has been initiated. While This whole Mass Transit project has 4 phases.
Karachi Metro Bus Service is controlled/Executed by Transport and Mass Transit Department, Government of Sindh. After completion of these four phases, almost 10 lac passengers will be facilitated to travel on the metro buses in Karachi city. Detail of Each Phases are given bellows:-

BRT Green Line :- This Project will be funded by Federal Government of PMLN. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate this project. It will be 17 kilometers long. It will start form Guru Mandar and will terminate at Surjani Town passing through KESC Power House and Chaurangi. Wil be completed in 1 year of the period.
BRT Orange Line :- This Route will be 4.7 Kilometers long. This will be connected with Green Line at Nazimabad. Development work has been stared on this project. Utility services are being shifted. This purely the project of Government of Sindh.It will pass through TMA Office Orangi Town and Board Office. It will completed in 12 months of the period.
BRT Yellow Line :- This Corrodor is 26 Kilometers long. It will start Daud Chowrangi and will pass though Regel Chowk, Saddar, Numaish, Korangi Road, FTC and Shahrah e Qaideen. 2.50,000 passenger will use daily. It will be completed in March 2018.
BRT Red Line :- This Metrobus route will be 21.5 Kilometers in length. It will pass through Model Colony to Peoples Chowrangi Near mazar e Quaid through University Road.It will start in December 2016 and it completion date is in year 2018.
