Multan-Sukkur Motorway (CPEC Eastern Route) – Nawaz Sharif Foundation Stone Laid

Karachi/Sukkur (Friday, May 6th, 2016) – Today Prime Minister of Pakistan Mina Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate the work on the 393 Kilometers long Sukkur-Multan Motorway. It will start from Multan the important city of the southern Punjab and will terminate at the third largest city of Sindh province, The Sukkur.

This is part of CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) Eastern Route. The main statistics if this Motorway are as under:-

Where it will pass?

Sukkur Multan motorway will pass through Shujabad, Jalapur Pirwala, Ahmad Pur East, Ubaro, Pannu Aqil.

Total Bridges = 54  (Major bridge on River Sutlej)

Total Service Areas = 12

Total rest areas = 10

Total Interchanges = 11

Total Flyovers = 10

Total Underpasses = 426
