Highest Peak in Kashmir (AJK) stands at an altitude of 6326 meters in Himalayan range at Neelam Valley, Kashmir. Sirwali Peak is also known with two alternate names including Dabbar Peak and Toshe Ri.
Neelum Valley administration calls of search for mountaineers who disappeared while scaling Sirwali Peak on August 31 2015. Islamabad-based climbers, Usman, Imran and Khurram aged between 30 and 35 years, had gone missing while trying to scale the mountain in Azad Jammu and Kashmir last month. Soon, three of them lost contact with the other two climbers while ascending the peak, police had said while quoting the two survivors.
Search Operation Update 15-09-2015
S&R Teams searched the surroundings of the point (5000 meters plus) where the missing climbers spent two nights in a snow bivouac before their last comm with the base camp.
More spare items including trekking shoes were found. Bad weather continues. No visibility / trace of possible location of the climbers found yet. Search will continue tomorrow.

Sarwali peak is situated in the junction of Neelam Valley and Shounter Valley in the range of Nanga Parbat with an approximate aerial distance of 30 Km. It’s geological construction is same as Nanga Parbat. The glacier, which surrounds Sarwali Peak is known as Sarwali glacier and it is biggest glacier in the Neelam Valley.
